Service Policies & Terms

Effective Date: July 19, 2026

These Service Policies & Terms are intended to help create a clear understanding between GoodShine Detail and our clients. By booking, requesting, approving, or receiving services from GoodShine Detail, you agree to the policies below.

1. About GoodShine Detail

GoodShine Detail provides professional mobile auto detailing and vehicle care services based in Huntington Beach, California, serving Orange County and surrounding service areas.

Services may include exterior and interior detailing, paint polishing and correction, ceramic coatings, leather protection, headlight restoration, engine bay cleaning, pet hair removal, odor treatment, steam cleaning, maintenance services, preservation services, and other related vehicle care.

Service availability may vary based on location, vehicle condition, weather, scheduling capacity, and the specific needs of the vehicle.

2. Estimates & Pricing

Prices displayed on our website or provided before an appointment are based on the information available to us at that time.

Final pricing may vary based on vehicle size, condition, contamination, excessive pet hair, staining, oxidation, water spots, overspray, sand, mud, biological contamination, or other conditions requiring additional time or specialized work.

If we determine that additional work or a pricing adjustment is appropriate, we will communicate with you before performing work outside the agreed service whenever reasonably possible.

Additional services requested during an appointment may result in additional charges.

3. Appointments & Scheduling

Appointments are subject to availability and are scheduled based on the estimated time required for the selected service.

Because detailing work can vary based on vehicle condition and circumstances beyond our control, appointment start and completion times are estimates and may occasionally change.

We appreciate as much advance notice as possible when an appointment needs to be canceled or rescheduled. Repeated late cancellations, missed appointments, or scheduling issues may affect future booking availability or require a deposit.

4. Vehicle Access

The vehicle must be accessible at the scheduled service time.

If the client will not be present, vehicle access should be arranged in advance. This may include providing keys, remote access, or another mutually agreed method.

GoodShine Detail is not responsible for delays or incomplete services caused by an inability to access the vehicle.

5. Mobile Service Requirements

GoodShine Detail is a fully mobile detailing service and brings the water, power, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform most services.

Clients are responsible for providing a lawful and reasonably safe location where the vehicle can be serviced.

We may decline, delay, relocate, modify, or reschedule a service if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable for performing quality work. This may include severe weather, unsafe traffic conditions, inadequate working space, environmental restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage

Clients are responsible for informing GoodShine Detail of known pre-existing damage, fragile components, aftermarket modifications, mechanical or electrical concerns, repaint work, loose trim, damaged interior components, or other conditions that may affect the service.

GoodShine Detail is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage, including but not limited to:

- Scratches, dents, rock chips, oxidation, peeling or failing clear coat, or faded paint

- Worn, cracked, stained, faded, or deteriorated interior materials

- Loose, damaged, improperly installed, or deteriorated trim, badges, moldings, or accessories

- Mechanical or electrical issues unrelated to the detailing service

- Damage or deterioration that becomes visible after dirt, contamination, oxidation, stains, or other material is removed

- Some defects, stains, scratches, odors, contamination, water spots, oxidation, and other conditions may be improved but cannot always be completely removed.

7. Personal Belongings

Clients are encouraged to remove valuables, cash, firearms, medications, sensitive electronics, important documents, and personal belongings before service.

GoodShine Detail is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings left inside the vehicle unless caused by our negligence.

Items remaining inside the vehicle may limit our ability to clean certain areas.

8. Child Safety Seats

For safety reasons, we ask clients to remove child safety seats before an interior service whenever possible.

We may clean around or, when appropriate, clean a child safety seat as part of an agreed service. However, GoodShine Detail does not reinstall or secure child safety seats after removal.

The client is responsible for properly reinstalling and securing all child safety seats.

9. Results & Service Limitations

Detailing services are intended to clean, improve, restore, protect, or preserve a vehicle within the reasonable capabilities of the selected service.

Results vary based on vehicle age, condition, previous care, material type, environmental exposure, damage, contamination, and other factors.

GoodShine Detail does not guarantee that every stain, scratch, odor, defect, contaminant, water spot, or imperfection can be completely removed.

Whenever possible, we will communicate known limitations before or during the service.

10. Satisfaction Commitment

Your satisfaction is part of the service.

Before we consider a service complete, we want you to feel confident in the care your vehicle received. Whenever possible, we will review the completed work with you and give you an opportunity to look over the results.

If you notice something within the agreed scope of service that needs our attention, please let us know. We'll take a look and make it right whenever reasonably possible.

Our Satisfaction Commitment applies to the work and services we agreed to perform and does not guarantee correction of pre-existing damage, permanent defects, or conditions outside the reasonable capabilities of the selected service.

11. Paint Polishing & Paint Correction

Paint polishing and correction services are intended to improve the appearance and clarity of a vehicle's paint by reducing eligible surface defects.

Not all defects can or should be completely removed. Deep scratches, etching, thin or compromised paint, previous bodywork, repainting, clear-coat failure, and other conditions may limit achievable results.

GoodShine Detail prioritizes responsible paint preservation over unnecessary or excessive material removal.

No specific percentage of defect removal is guaranteed unless expressly agreed to in writing before service.

12. Ceramic Coatings & Protection Services

Ceramic coatings and other protection services are designed to provide durable surface protection when properly applied and maintained.

No coating or protection product makes a vehicle scratch-proof, chip-proof, stain-proof, water-spot-proof, or maintenance-free.

Durability and performance may vary based on vehicle use, environmental exposure, storage conditions, maintenance practices, and other factors.

Clients are responsible for following applicable aftercare and maintenance recommendations to support the performance and longevity of the protection applied.

13. Hazardous or Excessive Contamination

For the safety of our team and equipment, GoodShine Detail reserves the right to decline, stop, modify, or adjust pricing for vehicles containing hazardous, biological, or unusually severe contamination.

Examples may include bodily fluids, human or animal waste, mold or mildew, needles or sharp objects, insect or pest infestations, severe trash accumulation, or other unsanitary or potentially hazardous conditions.

Specialized sanitation, remediation, protective equipment, or additional labor may result in additional charges.

In some circumstances, we may determine that the vehicle requires a specialized remediation provider and decline the service.

14. Weather & Environmental Conditions

As a mobile detailing provider, our ability to perform services may be affected by weather and environmental conditions.

Appointments may be delayed, modified, relocated, or rescheduled due to rain, severe weather, excessive heat, unsafe temperatures, high winds, environmental debris, inadequate shade, or other conditions that could affect safety or service quality.

We will communicate with you if weather or environmental conditions affect your appointment and make a reasonable effort to find an appropriate solution.

15. Deposits

Certain services or appointments may require a deposit to reserve the necessary time, materials, or scheduling capacity.

Any required deposit amount and applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms will be communicated before payment.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, deposits are applied toward the final service balance.

Failure to appear for a scheduled appointment or repeated last-minute cancellations may result in forfeiture of a deposit when disclosed and agreed to as part of the booking terms.

16. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service unless another arrangement has been agreed to in advance.

GoodShine Detail accepts approved payment methods communicated at the time of service or invoicing.

Additional services or adjustments approved during the appointment may be billed separately or added to the final balance.

GoodShine Detail reserves the right to decline future service for unpaid balances, disputed charges determined to be valid, abusive behavior, unsafe conditions, or repeated violations of these policies.

17. Photography & Vehicle Documentation

GoodShine Detail may photograph or record vehicles before, during, or after service for purposes such as documenting vehicle condition, recording completed work, maintaining service records, quality control, training, or resolving service-related questions.

We may also request permission to use vehicle photographs or videos for marketing, educational, website, social media, advertising, or portfolio purposes.

We make reasonable efforts to avoid displaying personally identifying information such as license plates, addresses, personal documents, or belongings.

If you prefer that your vehicle not be used in promotional or marketing content, please let us know.

18. Client Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

GoodShine Detail reserves the right to decline or discontinue service when reasonably necessary due to unsafe conditions, harassment, threatening or abusive behavior, illegal activity, material misrepresentation of vehicle condition, repeated payment issues, or other circumstances that make providing the service inappropriate or unsafe.

Any charges for work already completed or materials already used may remain due.

19. Limitation of Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GoodShine Detail is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside the reasonable scope of the detailing services provided.

Nothing in these policies is intended to waive or limit rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

20. Changes to These Policies

GoodShine Detail may update these Service Policies & Terms as our services, business practices, or legal requirements change.

The version posted on our website will reflect the current effective date.
